the eternal city

So ... I know I said that Florence is my most favourite place, but I have to admit that Rome is really up there as well.  So much history and breathtaking architecture, buildings in warm, earthy colours, often with crumbling facades that only add to their already incredible charm ... You can be on a busy road with crazy, chaotic traffic - cars honking their horns and immaculately dressed Italians whizzing by on their Vespas - turn a corner, and suddenly find yourself on the quietest of cobblestoned streets, with only the sound of your footsteps echoing off the buildings.  Sigh!

Wishing you all a lovely weekend!

  2. Oh I've never been in Rome but I'd love to go there. Your pictures are so gorgeous that I wish I was there right now. So you are planning a trip to Europe? Where are you going (I can't wait until I get to read your stories and see you pictures). I'm sure you and D will have the most memorable and wonderful time here.

I never came to Paris this spring (I had booked everything but had to cancel the last minute) but I'm sure going there soon. I'm just wondering if I might go to Italy before.

    Have a lovely weekend! xo
